Since graduating from the Sprocket Rocket class into age group racing, Sophia Preston has known nothing but the plate #1A. The Ipswich West Moreton BMX Club rider recently appeared on Totally Wild, to show the audience what the sport is all about.

First it was the Sleeman Sports Complex in Brisbane in 2017, then Bunbury BMX Club in Western Australia. Since graduating from BMX Australia’s participation class into race classes, Sophia Preston has been the rider to chase.

Last year, she also grabbed herself the world #2 plate at the 2017 UCI BMX World Championships in Rock Hill, USA. Not bad for a young athlete whose age is yet to hit double digits.

In the wake of her success, the young Queenslander was recently featured on a segment for TV show ‘Totally Wild’. Donning her Aussie champion jersey, Sophie guided the show’s interviewer through everything BMX.

The young ace hits the track up to four times per week, loves the sport and was an outstanding ambassador for the sport when she made her appearance on the small screen.
