In 2018 the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup will hold eight rounds across four locations around the globe. Competition begins the weekend following the 2018 BMX Australia National Championships in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, a new town in the Versailles prefecture.
From there it’s a trip to Papendal in the Netherlands, where Aussie Lauren Reynolds claimed a third place on the podium in 2017, a result she will look to improve on in 2018.
Papendal to Heusden-Zolder in Belgium, Australian riders will be eager to crack a podium here. In 2017 Reynolds and South Australia’s Anthony Dean fell shy of the dais, both finishing fourth.
The final stop will be in Santiago del Estero in September. The event falls late in the year, well after the 2018 UCI BMX World Championships, and is the perfect place for new world cup riders to cut their teeth late in the season.
