3 Ride Permits
The 3 ride permit enables a rider to take part in 3 club events (training, club meets and practice). The 3 ride permit gives people the opportunity to try BMX racing, before becoming a full member.
What is the cost of the 3 Ride Permit?
The permit costs $20.
Clubs can order membership forms from their state associations for a fee determined by their state. Clubs will receive a membership form and a yellow membership card for the rider.
What happens to the form once it is filled out?
Once the membership form is filled out it must be sent to the head office of BMX Australia within one week of being filled out- this is to ensure that the rider is covered by insurance.
Who can sign up for the 3 ride permit?
Any person who has not been a member of BMX Australia can purchase this membership. This permit can only be purchased once.
What are the benefits of the 3 ride permit?
The rider is covered under BMX Australia’s insurance for up to 3 rides. The membership is only valid for 3 months upon the membership being sold.
What happens when the membership expires?
When the 3 Ride Permit expires, the rider may upgrade their membership to a full membership. The rider will then receive a $30 discount off their membership. The discount only applies if the yellow membership card is sent to the BMXA office, along with the new membership form.
