The Technical Guide for the 2018 BMX Australia National Championships and 2018 UCI Oceania Continental Championships is now available, encompassing details about entries, general rider information, entry classes and additional information.

Not included in the document are practice and race block format schedules, which will be released in the first week of March as part of the final rider instructions.

Detailed in the document are key entry details, noting that the closure of entries at 11pm AEDT on Friday February 9. Late entries closing a week later on Friday February 16, and incur a $150 fee for every class entered. Team entries will also close at 11pm AEDT on February 16, and must submitted via manual entry form.

All classes, except for Mini-Wheeler, Retro and Superclass will be offered. UCI Championships classes replace Superclass. Riders are permitted to enter one 20-inch class, and one 24-inch class, however Championship class competitors can only enter Championship events.

Entrants should also be aware that there will be no transponder hire at this event. Competitors must provide their own transponder, affixed to their bike.

Refunds for entries are available in accordance with the BMXA refund policy. An administration fee of $25 will be deducted on all refunds.

Once at the event, registration will be available for set periods of time from Sunday March 18 through Thursday March 22. Riders must be registered prior to taking part in any on-track session. Number plate and number will be assigned at registration, save for those who hold a permanent career number.

Remaining in line with the 2018 BMXA rulebook, only riders who have been allocated a racing number through successful competition at either a CN event or world event may display that number. I.e. Australian or world plates are eligible, but state plates are note.

Also included in the document are entry fees, awards and prize money details for the 2018 UCI Oceania Continental Championships.

The 2018 National Titles will also host the inaugural BMX Festival to close the event; further details will be released soon.
