Riders eager to earn a position on the Australian team for the UCI BMX World Championships in Baku Azerbaijan can access details from BMXA in this article

Clearer details about this year’s UCI BMX World Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan are now available for Australian riders, with a fact sheet for the event being released today.

This year’s world championships head to the burgeoning Middle Eastern destination, a place that has been a highlight of the Formula 1 World Championship for the past two seasons.

With the Australian National Championships on our doorstep, and plenty of riders hoping to qualify for Team Australia, BMXA have created a guide for those eager to represent the nation.

Key among the details is the important dates that riders need to be mindful of.

With the Aussie nationals concluding on March 25, riders will have 11 days – until Wednesday April 4 – to decide whether or not they would like to attend the world championships, should they be selected.

For those that pass on the opportunity, class spaces will be opened up to riders next in line from Friday April 6 until Sunday April 15. On Monday April 16 an ‘all you need to know pack’ will be distributed to those attending.
