Riders participating at the 2014 UCI BMX World Championships should consider what licence they need to ride on and what insurance they have in place.
Any rider competing in the Junior Elite and Elite categories are required to hold an UCI International Licence. For details on how to apply for an UCI International Licence please click here.
Riders who are competing in the Challenge Categories are not required to hold an International Licence however they may do so if they wish. A BMX Australia licence is acceptable to to ride on at the World Championships however, BMXA’s insurance does not cover riders internationally. Riders should use their discretion in assessing their needs for insurance cover. Insurance only cover is available through Cycling Australia.
