BMX Australia have opened applications for the role of ‘Assistant Team Manager’ for this year’s BMX World Championships in Rock Hill, USA, with the event running from July 25-29.

There are more than 300 Australian’s registered to ride at this year’s event, which is also expected to be the most attended BMX world championships in history. Among the 3,300 plus riders from 40 countries who attend will be Olympic and world champions in elite classes, as well as hundreds Cruiser and Challenge riders eager to retain their world plates.

The role of Assistant Team Manager will require the successful applicant to be in Rock Hill from July 23-30 (inclusive), and act as the main support to the Team Manager for the duration of the event.

Among the key responsibilities, the person who undertakes this role will also help to foster a positive environment within the team, ensuring that riders are well supported and put in the best position to achieve their goals.

Firm understanding of UCI BMX rules is a crucial part of this job, as is the need to be able to manage a small support team and have effective conflict resolution skills. Demonstrated organisation skills are a must.
