BMXA thanks its members and the community for their ongoing patience and support during this difficult time.

After intensive discussions and deliberation with stakeholders, the BMXA board and management have decided to cancel the remaining three rounds of the 2020 BMXA National Series.

This decision was not taken lightly with the board wanting to make sure the main focus for the rest of the calendar year was on club and local BMX recovery, followed by the 2020 National Championships in Launceston.

As the BMX calendar has been dramatically affected due to COVID-19, we do not want to oversaturate the market with events that may not be of the highest priority for many members, rather all clubs to foster the return of the sport in communities across the country.

The board is considering the possibility of a new national series round added to the national championships schedule in Launceston. However, this decision will not be made until greater clarification regarding state borders and nationwide restrictions are acquired, as well as a confirmation of the date.

In regard to national series standings and points, we will award 2020 national series prizes, with a decision to be made in the coming weeks on how this will happen.

Further information regarding the 2020 National Championships and 2020 Oceania Continental Championships will be passed on as soon as available, as well as any information regarding the 2020 UCI BMX World Championships in Houston.
