The Tales from the Berm by BAD BOY typically captures one of the biggest events from each weekend – but this week’s is a little different.

Last weekend held many notable events around the country including the final stage of the 2019 BMXA BAD BOY National Series at the Canberra BMX Club, the Mawson Lakes Warmup to the SA State Titles at Cross Keys, and the Kent Russ Memorial at Happy Valley.
But the Tales from the Berm isn’t just about celebrating the ‘big’ events, but also the smaller ones including Macarthur’s Clubby Series 3 Rd3, which occurred on Saturday (October 19).
Clubby’s are open to all riders but are predominantly contested by the host club riders only.
With that being said, there was a family affair from Castle Hill with seven shredders across two families who participated in the day’s action.
There were the Joel’s, consisting of Elise (8-14 girl’s), Garry (open wheel), Kate (Kranks) and Ayrton (snr sprockets), who were joined by the Fox’s, comprising of Jessica (Kranks), Jaxon (jnr sprockets) and Ruby (snr sprockets).
Of the seven, it was Kate Joel who found the top of the podium competing in the Kranks category against fellow Castle Hill clubmate Jessica Fox.
Joining the seven Castle Hill riders were 73 from Macarthur who ranged from participation classes to competitive categories and some who charged to the top of their respective podiums.
