The fifth round of the new-for-2017 Grands Assault National Series was the opening event of the 2017 BMX Australia National Championship race week, with riders taking on the testing Sleeman supercross track in wet conditions. Adding spice to the on-track action was the offer of double points for today’s final round.

While double points were a significant carrot for those eager to jump up the final standings, an even bigger incentive was the grand prize for series winners: return flights, accommodation and entry into November’s USA Grand Nationals in Tulsa, Oklahoma – an event touted to be the ‘greatest race on earth’.

Matthew Juster and Saya Sakakibara took out the AA Pro men and Pro women’s series’ respectively, and for the second straight year will enjoy a paid trip to the USA for the Grand Nationals. Please note that the 12-year-boy’s event remains under review and the results are yet to be finalised. The listing in the below document is not the final result.
