Rio 2016 Olympian and current #W6, Bodi Turner is one of the country’s best riders, and he sure is making the most of it.
After a breakout year in 2015, Turner was selected to ride as a part of the Australian Olympic BMX team. Turner finished 6th, 8th and 4th in his quarter-final to miss out on the semis and finishing the competition in 20th.
Most recently, Turner had one of his best ever results on an international stage at the 2017 UCI BMX World Championships in Rock Hill, South Carolina. After a string of impressive finishes in the earlier rounds of the event, Turner secured a spot in the men’s elite championship final. Coming home with a #W6 plate, the most successful of the Australian men’s high-performance squad. Finishing ahead of teammates- Anthony Dean, Kai Sakakibarra, Matthew Juster and Josh McClean.
Also, who could forget that pre-race dab!
It is safe to say that the Eastfield BMX club native is on the rise, showing no signs of slowing down, but there is so much more to Bodi Turner that you may not know about, and we are here to share it with you.
In a world of elite sport where so many athlete’s true personalities are often hidden behind the words and instructions of some seriously savvy media managers, Turner makes no excuses for the athlete that he is- fun, optimistic and full of life and energy. All evident through viewing the twenty-two year olds always entertaining social media channels.
On Instagram, Turner’s bio reads ‘Follow the adventure’- and what an adventure the young man lives. In between elite competition and a rigorous training schedule, you will see Turner making the most of his current residency in the United States, regularly posting pictures of his endeavours to allow his mounting twenty-one thousand followers to stay up to date with his whereabouts.
If you’re lucky (
