Top tier BMX riders have joined local radio stars on stage for an exciting promotion of the 2019 BMXA BAD BOY National Championships, and the youngsters (and some older fans) who attended didn’t go away empty handed or disappointed!

Three of Australia’s top BMX riders, 2016 elite national champion Leanna Curtis, home town hero Hayden Fletcher and the current elite men’s national champion Brandon Te Hiko, set up shop in the Maude Street Mall strip to sign autographs and take photos with excited fans.

Alongside many selfies, the trio were also given the opportunity to go up on stage and talk with local radio presenters, Josiah and Elly from Hit 96.9.

The pair asked the riders all sorts of questions, such as how long have you been riding for and what it feels like to compete on the national level.

The meet and greet was a perfect opportunity to showcase the biggest BMX event on the Australian calendar and it wasn’t just posters that were being signed. Hats and shirts also got in on the action and the memories will no doubt last a lifetime.

The autograph posters will be available from the BMXA information tent and other places around the event while they last.
