BMX Australia have made changes to the names of their officials in order to better reflect the officiating level of our dedicated volunteer officials.

These name changes are active as of now and new accreditations will receive their new titles, while existing accreditations will retain their previous names until they are re-accredited.

The new titles for officials are:

Club Officials (Level 1) – For members who would like to officiate at BMXA club racing and assist at training nights and other club activities.

State Officials (Level 2) – For Club Officials who wish to officiate at regional, zone and state level events. With the permission of the Chief Commissaire, a State Official can also officiate at national level events.

National Officials (Level 3) – For State Officials who wish to officiate at national series and national championships.

The name changes also align better with the UCI Officials Pathway which, after National (Level 3), now progress to the newly introduced ENC (Elite National Commissaire).

The ENC is a level of accreditation which can be obtained in Australia. Following that is the International Commissaire (IC), which must be obtained overseas under UCI tutorage.
