The important times and links for all BMX riders at the Frankston BMX Club this weekend

The second round of the 2018 BMX Australia National Series kicks off at the Frankston BMX Club tomorrow, and arriving at the venue will be hundreds of riders – and almost double the number of supporters.

Here’s where you need to be and when.

SATURDAY – APRIL 21, 2018

8:30am – 10:00am: Coaching Clinic

For those BMX Victoria Beginner and Level 1 coaches who have registered for our coaching skills clinic. The session includes skills instruction and mentoring and an update on upcoming developments in BMXA coaching courses. You can also provide feedback on the current BMXA coaching structure.

This session will be held with BMXA National Team Manager and Coach Luke Madill, National Team Assistant Simon Anderson and BMX Victoria Level 2 Coaches Josh Callan and Fraser Te Hiko.

10:00am – 3:00pm: Registration open

Be sure to register, as there is NO REGISTRATION ON SUNDAY APRIL 22.

11:00am – 11:45am: Officials briefing

12:00pm – 3:15pm: Practice sessions

NOTE: Age practice is for both 20-inch and Cruiser. There is no specific Cruiser practice.

12:00 – 12:45: 8-years – 12-years

12:45 – 1:30: 13-years – 16-years

1:30pm – 2:15pm: 17+

2:15pm – 2:45pm: Championship classes and Masters 1

2:45pm – 3:15pm: Sprockets

3:30pm – 5:30pm: Racing

3:30pm – 4:30pm: Moto 1 – except for Championship Classes

4:30pm – 5:30pm: Moto 2 – except for Championship Classes

SUNDAY – APRIL 22, 2018

7:30am – 9:00am: Warm Up (No Gates except for Championship Classes)

7:30am – 7:45am: 8-years – 12-years

7:45am – 8:00am: 13-years – 16-years

8:00am – 8:15am: 17+

8:15am – 8:45am: Championship Classes and Masters 1 (Gates practice)

8:45am – 9:00am: Sprockets

9:15am – 1:00pm: Racing

9:15am – 10:15am: Moto 3 (Moto 1-3 Championship Classes)

Championship Classes Moto 1 at the beginning of Challenge Moto 3

Championship Classes Moto 2 at the middle of Challenge Moto 3

Championship Classes Moto 2 at the end of Challenge Moto 3

10:30am – 11:30am: Qualifiers, all classes

11:45am – 1:00pm: Finals

Presentations will be done as the riders complete their respective finals across the line.
