With a touch over two weeks remaining until the 2017 BMX Australia National Championships, riders are being encouraged to nominated for the final round of the Grands Assault Series, with entries closing at 11pm AEST tonight.
As of Thursday April 6, 2017 there had been more than 1,700 entries for the national championships, excluding entries for the final round of the 2017 Grands Assault, which adds a further 244 entries at the latest official count.
Since registrations opened for nationals on February 24, 2017 there has been a strong entries. Now riders have a fantastic chance to capitalize on two golden opportunities to race prior to competing for a national plate. They are BMX Queensland’s Aussie Assault and the final round of the Grands Assault.
The Aussie Assault will run on Saturday April 22. You can enter that event here.
Round five of the Grands Assault will be the first racing action to take place during the week of the national championships. While a handful of riders will be racing for the chance to win a trip to the USA BMX Grand Nationals, the event offers an ideal opportunity for others to dial themselves in to the track for racing later in the week.
Any eligible rider can enter the Grands Assault event; you do not need to have raced the preceding four events.
Entries for the final round of the Grands Assault close at 11pm AEST tonight, with late entries remaining open until Wednesday April 12, also at 11pm AEST.
