Knox’s Stephanie Alexander has taken the BMX scene by storm and we aren’t the only ones to have noticed!

The Leader Community News wants to unearth exceptional sporting talent in local communities, including teams, individuals, coaches and volunteers. Knox BMX Club’s Alexander has been nominated for the Local Sports Star Award and is in the running to win a share of $19,000.

At the age of four, Alexander and her father were walking past the club in Victoria and her interest was sparked at once, pestering her father to return so she could take on the boys.

Six years later and Alexander’s love for BMX hasn’t changed, as she prepares to venture to this month’s UCI BMX World Championships in Heusden-Zolder, Belgium after taking out the 10-girl’s national title in Shepparton in May.

The Herald Sun recently sat down with Alexander to hear her full story, including her dreams, her training routine, what she loves most about BMX and what is her ultimate goal.
