A lot of time and effort goes into a BMX club. Whether that is on the track, in the canteen or even on social media pages.

Cross Keys BMX Club are very lucky to have the services of Steve Wallage.

Having previously been a board member and the treasurer of the club, Steve is still 100% committed to the team and the community that surrounds it.

“Steve is a massive help,” said President of Cross Keys, Nick Underwood.

“He was one of the big reasons that our club put on a great national series round.”

Not only does Steve help out around the track, but his assistance as an official is even more inspiring.

“He is a well-respected member of the club and he has officiated at all the state rounds. He has put a lot of time and effort into the track with its maintenance, reshaping and resurfacing. He was at every working bee and he’s a huge asset,” said Underwood.

The Wallage family have been members of Cross Keys for more than five years and the whole team are valued members. His wife Judith helps out in the canteen, while their 17-year-old son Jacob competes on the track his father works on.

Well done to the whole Wallage family, you’re all legends to us!
