He lifts the lid on real stories behind the headlines, and 20 of BMXA’s volunteers have the chance to win a complimentary ticket to join Howie in a special one-on-one with Sam Willoughby.
A sports journalist as well as an AFL and Big Bash cricket presenter, podcaster Mark ‘Howie’ Howard will be face-to-face with the Olympic silver medallist and two-time elite world champion to talk all things BMX and share his remarkable story.
The Howie Games has featured some of the biggest Aussie names in world sport, such as Shane Warne, Cadel Evans, Sally Pearson, Ellyse Perry, Luc Longley, Anna Meares, Mick Fanning and the late Jarrod Lyle.
On August 21 at the ARA Darling Quarter Theatre in Sydney, BMX’s very own Willoughby will join that illustrious list of Aussie stars.
Wanting to reward the dedicated volunteers who have willingly put their hands up to officiate at BMX events around the country, BMX Australia have tickets on offer for the first 20 officials to email firstname.lastname@example.org.
But hurry – it’s first in best dressed!
The event will feature discussions over the early stages of Willoughby’s life, as well as his success at the London Olympics, before taking the time to stop and dive into his life changing injury.
