The BMX pump track will be built using a $150,000 funding allocation from the Northern Beaches Council

The Terrey Hills BMX track will receive funding for new a pump track this year, as the Northern Beaches Council endeavours to upgrade sporting facilities and surf living facilities across the northern beaches area.

The BMX pump track will be built using a $150,000 funding allocation from the local council.

“The upgrades will make a huge difference to the work of successful applicants and will give a lot of heart to the thousands of volunteers who make these sporting clubs work,” said Northern Beaches Council Administrator, Dick Persson AM.

Terrey Hills BMX track, also known as the JJ Melbourne Hills Memorial Reserve, is currently occupied by the Manly Warringah BMX Club and proudly maintained by the club’s volunteers.

The Northern Beaches Council has made a significant amount of donations towards the track this year which has seen the club transform into one of Sydney’s most popular and best facilities.

This year’s Manly BMX Open is not too far away now, taking place on September 17th.
