With the focus switching to the BMXA Nationals at Sleeman Sports Complex from April 24-30, it’s a good time to take a look at who the form riders have been across all classes this year.

The best way to do that is to look at the standings from the two National Series events that have run throughout the summer.

The UCI Probikx, Champbikx and Challenge series has wrapped up after four rounds with Matt Juster and Leanna Curtis the elite winners.

Of all the categories, only Dirk Winter (men’s 17-29 challenge class), Molly McGill (16yrs girl’s champbikx) and Des’Ree Barnes (15yrs girl’s champbikx) claimed a clean sweep across all four stops of the circuit.

The final round of the Grands Assault will take place on Wednesday afternoon during the Nationals week but so far there have been some standouts in the four rounds completed so far.

Cairns BMX club duo Portia Eden (10yrs girl’s) and Shannon Petre (14yrs girl’s) are undefeated in their respective classes, as is Dirk Winter (17-32 men’s), giving Winter a perfect eight from eight National Series finals victories thus far in 2017.

Sacha Mills (9yrs girl’s) and Thomas Tucker (12yrs boy’s0 have each won all three of the rounds they contested to lead their series’.
