On the women’s ledger, Des’ree Barnes will be looking to maintain her 2020 form, after taking the win in the first round of the national series. It’ll be tough ask with Nerang local and former national champion Erin Lockwood competing, alongside former world age group champion Kira Hill.

Lockwood will be looking to go one better than the last time the national series was at Nerang, when she placed second behind Tokyo Olympic hopeful Saya Sakakibara in 2018, whilst Hill has took out the 14 years girls round home two years ago.

A host of other Aussie and world champions from a variety of age groups will be racing with current junior men’s elite world silver medallist Oliver Moran, current 13yrs boy’s world bronze medallist Noah Elton and loads of local talent on show.
