The first day of the 2019 UCI BMX World Championships is about to commence and the cruiser gates will kick off proceedings.

Over 3700 riders from around the world have come together in Heusden-Zolder, Belgium and records have already been broken, marking it as the biggest world championships… ever.

Today, July 23, 32 Aussies will be flying the flag as they attempt to claim world titles. A rider to keep an eye out for is Pine Rivers’ Thomas Tucker, who will be competing in the 13-14 boy’s cruiser and looking to grab a higher plate than his current world no.5.

Another #TeamAUSBMX rider to keep an eye out for is Penrith’s Sandy Cameron who stood third on the podium last year in the 40 & over women’s cruiser and will be eager to find it again.
